Default Cam suggestions

I don't even have an LS1 car yet but I have made up my mind to sell my other camaro and get one. I plan on getting an F-body and will do all the bolt ons...FL headers, ORY, lid, ram air, intake, etc. I am looking to make the most possible HP and TQ with a Cam only car. This will only be a weekend crusier/dragstrip car and not a DD. My current car has a 355 with a 248/254 @ .50 duration cam and is Carbed. So in other words I am used to a large cam. Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

x4, TRex, MS3, GAC, S-cam, ect.

but instead of just going big for the sake of big, choose the cam and valvetrain appropriate to your application...

I forgot to mention I am willing to go with 4.10, maybe even lower, gears.

No sense on going with a huge cam if it can't breath, unless your doing it just for the sound of it.

What makes you say this? He said he would get the bolt ons (headers, intake, etc.) and gears as well

Not only will you need the bolt ons, but a clutch and rear end as well, in order to run any kind of a good ET at the track. Rear end and a clutch(s) are $$.

I wasn't saying that I would go with a big cam just for the sake of it. I was just letting you all know that if that is what I had to do, I was used to it. From what I have read the TSP 231/237 cam is a good choice for a cam only car, but I have also looked into the TSP MS3, can you get this in a 112 LSA?. My car now runs 12.0 @ 120.7 so I know a little about building engines, just not enough about getting traction...LOL. I own a 3rd gen right now so I know all about the rear and clutch problems, just be glad you all don't have the manual trans problems as bad as the T-5 does. I also plan on upgrading to a stroker 6.0 block at a later date.
