Let me know too... I have a block that needs honed for some forged pistons and I dont know where to take it! I live in Reston, VA so I'm not too far off.

I also have a stock crank that need balanced...

I just talked to a guy in Houston Texas named Bryan. He's from LME, now check this out...I went to CNC here in manassas, they quoted me $3,000 bucks to machine and assemble, outa there F*&#@ng mind. So bryan said they will do the machining and assembly for $850.00 Talk about a deal!! When he calls me back I can talk to him for you and get you his info if you'd like!?

Sure, post it up... but seeing that you're from VA, I would think you might want something a little closer? Not sure how dead-on you are about using a sponsor, but a friend of mine races circle track cars and he uses a place in West Virginia for all his engine work... might be a little closer.

LME does great work.
If your doing a iron block and 383 cubic inches tell me about your built?
You using a offset stock crank?
A 4" crank get you 402 cubic inches and with some machine work 408/410/414 cube's.
I am sure you know this so what setup are you doing?

Yes I run a machine shop inside HPE here and have done a few of the 383 irons as well. We do all our own machining and balancing right here.

Why such a dish? -30cc's will put you in the low 9's, compression wise, depending on a few specs. That's a bit low for a No2 motor. I'd shoot for 11:1, but that's just me.

So your gunna use a 225 DP and a Turbo? Not a very good idea. If it's strictly turbo, then it should work great!

Yeah I see your point...but it still doesn't make sense to build a motor specifically for N2O and only shoot 225.

Why would you say that?? I've been going over this project with people on this site and a couple others for 2 years now!! Not to mention all the sponsors, and "guru's" who all agree it will work more than fine with the combination of internals I've used!! The only problem with the n2o being in the equation, is if it would have been a dry shot!! Since it's wet, and using 103 octane fuel in its own stand alone, there shouldn't be any problems!! Hell any combo of power adders should work as long as the AFR is placed correctly, IAT stay ambiant, spark stay's hot/cold enough, dwell time is set correctly, and proper fuel is used in combustion!!!

I didn't say it wouldn't work, but, dual power adders always tend to have more problems. Once your motor is tuned for the turbo, then you have the No2, which isn't on all the time, that will effect the tune as well. Hopefully you've researched and found a good tuner and all will be ok.
