Default Port matching intake and heads??????//

Hey guys I'm about to throw on my heads and LS6 intake. Not to familiar with LS1's like I am with LT1s but I was wondering.... should I port matvch the intake to the heads while they're off or do they even do that with these motors?

thanks

Do you mean by removing material, or by locating the manifold in the bolt holes? Either way, I don't think there is much you can do on a gen III engine.

Yes, it can be done and has to be done by a real pro. You are looking at 8-10 hours labor. If you are going to do that, I would recommend a FAST 90 to start with. TEA, Cartek, etc. can do this procedure. They should have templet of you heads or the heads themselves.

The final product looks rough (its designed that way mix air and fuel before hitting the chamber). So, basically you have a rough inside edge that meets the head in right spot (all done by hand, cross grain to the flow...fun...huh). Also on the Fast 90, if it is done right, internally there is not much material left and it all has to be sealed correctly at the right points with high temperature RTV silicon in addition to stock gasket.
