Ive only got 11K miles on it, i hardly drive it and didnt want to give up any comfort or drivability. I know i could have gotten more power, but to really sum it up. I wanted to do a stealth cam, with all the bolt ons. Keep the exhaust as quiet as possible with no surging or bucking. This isnt a max effort drag car like my 1LE was. I just wanted something fun for the street. Ill be doing heads as soon as i get some new tires and a strong clutch. Lastly, my wife drives the car and she hated the big EQ cam and hardly ever drove it when i had the TR 224 cam. Thanks for your questions. Ill put her on the dyno soon and we'll see how she does.

sup Scoob.nice cam choice.

The reason this keeps coming back up is A. people are using the search feature and B. there doesn't seem to be much info out there on the CheaTR cam. I can tell bc people post looking for info and they state "Why isn't there more info on the CheaTR cam?"

Default maybe this will help

i have the cheatr v3 cam package in my 2001 b4c.completely stock exhaust ,except for a magnaflow muffler.3400 stall ,lid and m.t. drag radials.i gained almost 40 r.w.h.p on the dyno.car went 12.30's.since then, i added 3.73 gears ,transgo hd2 shift kit and a cut out.i went 12.09@112 and a 1.73 60 ft.car should go low11's on 100 shot, but i had traction problem's that night.with the cut out closed,it's hard to tell its cammed due to my tuner (geoff @eps)has it idled at 900 r.p.m.if you do a search for(cheatr v3 cam update)i have an idle clip.the cam pulls through the entire r.p.m. range, especially on the top.it's one of the best cam's for stock exhaust.thats why i bought it,because i did not want headers.hope this helps.

I see no problem with reviving threads. I do see a problem with getting upset about it.
The V3 is one I keep considering for my 6.0, but I live at high elevation, so that would make it lope more than at sea level. The V3 has 2.5 degrees more overlap than the V2, and that also increases lope. But my extra 0.3L will slightly reduce lope.
Also, the CheaTRs have a really early exhaust opening, which Comp says will add some sound. Plus the V3's late intake closing, which is good for high rpm, is not so good with the lower dynamic compression of higher elevation. But I'm looking at ported and milled 5.3 heads with 2.00 / 1.55" valves, and LS2 / LQ9 flat top pistons. That gives 12.1:1 static, but corrected to 4,500', equals 11.2:1 at sea level.
It's going in a lightweight, over-geared Fiero. I really need a stealthy sound, and there are no LTs for it, while the '00 F-car LS1 manifolds fit really well. Those are ported and polished also.
