Check the parts for sale forum. There are a lot of good used cams there. Buy new springs.

You sound like a guy that needs something in the 228 range...that wouldn't be too sissy and still get good milage.

Good luck.

The LS6 Cam with springs cost less than $500, will give you 25 hp on the top end and you won't have to have your car tuned. They came stock in the LS6 Vette.

Good luck,

Al

you can get it even cheaper. There are plenty of used Z06 cams for sale for like $150-200. Cam doesn't have to be new, but I would recommend getting new Z06 springs.
Or just get some 918's. These will last forever....

do you want a little lope to it as well. I had the ASA cam for about 20kmiles and I got around 25mpg hwy and city combined. it is a mild cam with not a lot of lift so you wont be killing your valve springs. also it has a nice sound to it as well. with all bolt ons and cam only I made 386rwhp on a have decent tune. with a better tune it would gained me a couple more.
