Default Input needed......head swap?

Right now I'm running a set of Absolute Speed 5.3's, 978 springs, 2.02/1.57. Recently picked up a set of LS6 heads and I'm looking at sending them to TEA and have the 2.5 port done on them. It would be gold springs, 2.055/1.6 valves, cut .010's. They should flow low 320's at .600 with great mid lift #'s. I'll be keepin the F13 cam with the ls6 heads and running a .045 cometic to get my compression back to 11 to 1. If I can pick up 10-15, I'm game for a swap. What do you guys think?

John

I think it will pick up if the heads flow what they are supposed to. It would be nice if you could have the new heads flowed locally, then have your old heads flowed at the same place when you take them off.

I'm pulling mine off in a few weeks and selling them. I'll flow them locally before I let them go and then flow the TEA LS6 heads when they get here.

You think I'll run into any clearance issues with the FM13 112+4 and the ls6 heads milled .010's and a .40-.45 cometic gasket?

I've ran a couple of F13 112 + 2's with heads milled .010 without a problem, but I run a .052 gasket on most of mine. That +4 will make the intake even tighter. Give Allan at Futral a call and see what he thinks, he'll be able to give you some good info.
