Swap LS6 out, LS2 in?
I was looking at the SLP forged aluminum 402 short blocks for $4K.
What else is needed to swap these into an 99 F-Body:
1. New/different knock sensors?
2. Extension cable for in-front cam sensor?
3. Different water pump?
4. Different oil pump?
5. Different oil pan?
6. Differnt PCM (I have LS1Edit)?
7. Different power steering pump/bracket?
Is the LS2 a dry-sump motor? Is this swap more than most should attempt in the garage?
I've done motor swaps, Gen 3 heads, cams, etc before but this seems like I might run into a bunch of problems since the motors are significantly different.
I can use my ported LS6 heads, headers, intake manufold etc, right?

it still utilizes the same oiling system as what we have in the ls1/6 motors. the dry sump is for the new ls7. as far as oil pans, i believe you can use your oil pan, and i am not sure on the water pump. hope this helps.also the knock sensors are in question but there are a few threads on here that have already dealt with that and have the solution.
