Torquer 2 = Valve Breaker?
Torquer 2 = Valve Breaker? Let me start with this...

Okay, I was dead set on the Torquer 2 (mods in sig) until a friend of mine (Mustang guy) called the cam I was getting a valve breaker...wtf?
It's not too late to change my mind as my order with TSP is still pending.
I need some input here to put my mind at ease. Anyone have problems with a cam this size (which isn't THAT big anyway). I mean with the proper supporting mods (dual springs, ti retainers, hardened pushrods) I shouldn't have a problem right?
Just when I thought I was 100% positive on the cam I selected
Debating on just getting a 224 again.

Hes a mustang guy, dont listen to him. If that cam consistantly broke valves like he claims it does, you would see a lot more post about it.

its just a standard comp XE-R lobed cam. improper spring selection will cause valve problems and potentially bend a valve.
Is there anything I can do wrong (other than something incredibly obvious, like leaving a rocker out) during the install to maximize the possibilities of any kind of drivetrain failures?

With the PRC springs, you have nothing to worry about. Good luck with the install and enjoy the cam.
