With the F15 you'll still only rev to 6,800 which isn't too bad. You don't have to run the engine up for every gear... just at race time Your short block should have no problem with an F-whatever.

my car is at 3350 raceweight, with a 28" tire, 3.73 yank4400, and a FMS custom cam just over an F14. look in my sig at my 1/8 mile time and do the math.
i think you got 11's with the f13.

FWIW: A friend of mine ran 11.6 @ 117mph with an f14. His car was at 3500 raceweight, 4.10 gears, 1.69 60'.

His car had slp headers, a ported t.b. and the cam. He had stock pulley, stock ls1 intake and a mail order tune. It ran the stock torque arm, no reloc brackets, stock shocks/springs, no skinnies, stock camaro wheels with et streets on back an heavy *** c5 rims up front.

He had no backseat at the time, and swaybar was disconnected upfront.

I think I'd be changing your goals to 11.0

Josh

Man those are awesome times and great mph. I am assuming it was a 6-speed? I am shooting for 11.7s and i will be happy with that but after i hit that i might lighten up the car a little more and shoot for 11.5s or lower.

6 speed, yes.. It pulled alot harder with an ls6 intake, and asp pulley.. The ls6 intake really opened up the topend, I have no doubts it'd trap 120mph+ with a dyno tune.

Good Luck,
Josh
