Paging Tony Mamo at AFR, question about your 6016 cam
Hi Tony, I have a question in regards to your AFR 6016 grind. Is it ground on a 113? And it will pass emssions if you use the 02 Z06 cats? Thirdly will it fit without flycutting-if the heads are milled .040 and using a .040 cometic gasket? I know the last one you still need to check but should it clear? Also what centreline did you install the cam on in your car? Thanks!l

We dont recommend that cam if you MUST pass emissions....to borderline but not out of the question with the right tune.
Our 220/224 (AFR PN 6018) is better suited to pass emissions in MOST applications (tune dependant). Also, .040 is an aggressive mill....If they are 205's you now have 59 cc chambers which will give you a fairly stout final compression ratio unless you have valve reliefs cut in the piston.

Thanks Tony my mechanic says I can play with the tune until it passes-no problem. But what about flycutting-will that cam clear(224/228)? Or is too boderline?
Thanks!
Thanks!
