Head Bolts on National Backorder???
Head Bolts on National Backorder??? I've been trying to get some GM OEM Head Bolts for a decent price, ($17 a side) and was told by a few places that they are on national backorder.
There can't be that many people doing head swaps......
I called SDPC and Pace. Any place else sells them cheap and have them in stock, along with all the other stuff I need for a head and cam swap???

I strongly reccomend you buy ARP head studs for this or any other Aluminum block/thread motor.
Cheap insurance and better clamp on gaskets, i also Endorse Fel Pro race gaskets for head gasket choice. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Try Thunder Racing, after waiting for my headbolts from sdpc for 3 weeks, I called Thunder and they shipped them to me overnight. This was on Friday so they should have them in stock.

Re: Head Bolts on National Backorder??? the bolts are on backorder due to the 5 small bolts missing from the box. i got one of these boxes last week. the dealer wanted them back, i said no way, i'll reuse the small ones i have.

Re: Head Bolts on National Backorder??? Just got my bolts yesterday and ordered them on the 8th from gmpartsdirect.com. The 'kits' are not in stock but the individual bolts are. Of course you pay more but at least I have them.
