Default guys with heads/ cam vig3200 or 3600 come inside.

dynoed my car with a mild set of heads flowing in the mid 280's weith stock valves. cam is also 220/216 .579/.559 114 LSA, well close to it.

my car is a 1999 trans am with 121k miles on it
dyno number were with stock ls1 intake and stock pulley. and a vig3200

and with a/f at 11.9

car did 357/ 408 unlocked. i am pleased, should be a monster once i hit the track.


what are all you other guys putting down?

car is untuned, need tuning pretty badly. gas mileage suffering.

i am headed to the track this upcoming weekend hopefully

01 ta with vig 3200 with all boltons-224 cam and stock heads with raised compression=385/411- http://www.pbase.com/image/5472354 i think it was unlocked, not sure. thats a mail order tune too fwiw. dyno numbers dont mean much though, its all about running the numbers <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Picking the optimum rpm stall for your converter has nothing to do about the hp or torque your engine creates. Optimum converter stall is determined by what rpm your peak torque occurs. You want your stall to be 500 rpm below true maximum peak torque. Once you have your converter selected then you gear your car where you are about 300-500 rpm above peak hp at the lights.

You have to be determine true stall speed at full throttle with transmission locked. Usually you cannot determine that by break torquing as your rear tires will turn. If you can hold your rear tires from turning at full throttle then that is true stall of your converter.

Hey nice #`s . You can gt that car leaned out a bit and pick up some more power.My car has a vig 3200 and my cam only setup made 366 rwhp with a TR220 cam .557 lift 114

My wife's old 2000 TA made 352rwhp unlocked through a Vig3200 with an LS1 intake. She had a small TR220, more like 218/218, with stock heads. We did another car a while back with GTP Stage II 5.7 heads and a TR224 cam and it did 400rwhp through an unlocked Vig3600, with stock tuning.

Your numbers look pretty good for your setup.
