why do you guys baby these cars? lol they are meant to be driven hard, i dont have many miles on my car but ive gone WOT blasts at least once a day, but i gotta stop, car likes it but the cops dont. its not such a bad thing to run a car hard, IMO it helps it out, i know too many people that have problems from cars they baby, my old grand am my sister has now have 160,000 miles on it and that car went through hell, it was more fun racing 4 cyl hondas in that lol just take car of the car, do all your maint. on schedule and dont worry about anything

Have you looked at gas prices lately? I dont know about you, but paying $2.85+ / gal when you daily drive the car 75+ miles daily is reason enough to baby my car. Thats not to say that every once in a while I mind spending a couple bucks on some WOT fun.

I normally wouldn't but I'm young and a college student and couldn't buy a new motor if i spun a bearing or break something else. I love blasting through the gears every now and then, i just can't afford to break anything.

2000 Formula Firehawk M6
Just over 50K miles
250+ 1/4 mile passes, bout as many AutoX passes, one HPDE with three 20 minute sessions, untold "laps" in my local mountain roads playing with sportbikes. When it's driven on the street, it's driven hard, car has mild mods {cam, headers}.

No problems yet, not even the axle with plenty of 1.80 sixty foots. Great reliability concedering the usage.

Mileage: 60,000. 5k on 2nd motor.... 1st bottom replaced at 55k due to scored sleeves
How Driven: Aggressive.... WOT every outing Motor/driveline religiously maintained .... regularly abused
Mod Level: Heavy
Engine Condition: Excellent.... for now

Given proper care/maintenance, and a certain degree of common sense, I don't see why you couldn't get 200k modded miles out of these motors before thinking about a re-build. Our LSx's ARE the best designed/well built small blocks ever offered to the public.... JMFUO of course....

How Driven: Aggressive (street)first 100K miles, but mostly highway miles
Mod Level: Light
Engine Condition:Valvetrain sounds like a Singer but runs good, no oil use.

Normal replacement stuff: battery, brakes, now cats going, front O2s.
Was off work 2 years and ran WOT 0-130 almost daily for boredom relief.
