Heads And Cam ? I Am Buying A Slp Head And Cam Package And Its A Ls6 Style Head I Was Wondering If Itwould Be A Drop In And If I Needed To Buy Something Else Please Need To Know

SLP is pricey and the HP ratings dont always fall inline.
yeah go with another sponsor, like futral motorsports,cartek,MTI, etc. for the same amount of money you will have more power, and you will enjoy it more yourself. you will thank us that we told you. dont get me wrong, great parts, but high priced and dont live up to the hype on the power aspect.

What everyone else said, do yourself the biggest favor in the world and DO NOT buy into SLP's supposed package HP gains!!! Save your money and go with one of the sponsors on the boards (I recommend Futral Motorsports, they are awesome people to deal with

Im Kinda Worried Because I Own A Junkyard And I Have Spoken To People That Have Performance Parts But With An Auto Trans And They Call Me Evry 2-3 Months For A New Trans Will This Happend To Me?

I can't say whether the Head/Cam package from SLP really delivers on rwhp, but I installed all the pieces of the 400-HP Performance Pack individually (except 1.08 ratio rockers) before they invented Performance Packs, and I measured 335 rwhp @ 5500 on a Mustang Dyno. So I'm guessing that I'm right around 400 HP at the flywheel. That's pretty close to advertised, if not right on. I have an M6, though, which helps a lot. As for their LS6 Head/Cam package, it is pricy, and you can probably get heads just as good and a better cam for about $1000 less. Take a look at the Patriot Performance LS1 or LS6 PP Head packages...
They'll give you good info on choosing a cam that matches up well, but you should really read the stickies at the top of the Internal Engine section so you know what they (and everyone else) are talking about. Also, go to ls1sounds.com and listen to several different cam/exhaust combinations...
