Probably wouldn't be 5-10rwhp difference with a 230-240 cam IMO.

Yeah I ordered them with the spring upgrade. Tony is going to figure out a good cam profile for me to run and I may go with that but it will probably be over .600 lift anyway so the spring upgrade will be good to have.

I would say something in the range of 235 duration with a .605-.615 lift. Did you get PRC Springs or something else, I think they also offer Manley NexTecs.

WELCOME.....to the "real world"

(Classic Morpheous line....)

It was good speaking with you today....let me know about some of the other small details we spoke about, and when your ready we will get that custom cam in the works as well.

Just think, with all the time you have before the heads are finished you can work nights to pay for that FAST intake which we both know you want and will ultimately own.....

A FAST will definately compliment the heads well. I hope you also have a full exhaust, if you need some pushrods let me know, I have some Comps brand new for sale, stock length though. Talk to Tony about what size rods you will need. You going to stay with stock lifters, rockers for now? I also have a set of brand new Comp "R" PN 875-15 lifters for sale, and some Crane 1.8:1 rockers, also some YT's that have a dyno pull but they 1.75 I think, I'd have to check it's been so long. Maybe the Cranes are 1.75 and the Yella Terra's are 1.8....who knows....I got them though. lol. All 4 items are new. Find out if you would need some or any of these items and I'll make you a deal on them. I also had some extra 225cc AFR Heads but they will be implemented in a future build. So would the other parts I guess...in due time.

You wont be dissapointed with the AFR's... they are a "PROVEN" set of heads unlike most of the others on this board..

I want to know more about the TEA Heads. What cores do they start with, what machinery do they use and how good is the polish?

I will do it for you.
Were gonna use a .040 gasket and go with a avarage deck height.
I get 10.54 CR and 414 cubic inches.
Mill those to a 68cc head and you have right at 11:1

Here is the one I use,
http://www.rosspistons.com/calculator.php

Here is a common example to help you start. We will use a stock LS1 motor.
Bore (inches) 3.898
Stroke (inches) 3.622
Head (cc's) 66.67
Gasket Thickness (inches) .054
Deck Height (Put .0001 for zero deck) (inches) .007
Dish or Valve Pocket [-] or Dome [+] (cc's) 0
Number of Cylinders 8

345.79 cubic inches and 10.01:1 compression.

Typicially a good rule of thumb is every .006 milled equals 1 cc.
It isn't perfect but close enough most of the time.
So instead of having a 66.67 you enter 65.67.
