Help an LT1 guy out?
Help an LT1 guy out? Im not much of an LS1 wizard over here, only know about my LT1s, but I bought a 2002 trans am before I left for kuwait, as my daily driver, stock with an exhaust cutout it ran an altitude corrected 12.97 (14.06 @ 101 bandimere) but I was getting beaten by modified rice, which didnt make me too happy.. (SRT4s, and WRX STi's) so I want to do long tube headers, exhaust, and a cam and springs... which cam from thunder racing will give me the absolute most hp, while still remaining streetable?
thanks for sending me some newbie crap, but I have been working on cars since I was 14 and have built and own a low 11 second N/A Stock headed LT1 so I have a clue what im doing, just wanted to know what the most popular grind is for the avg street/strip LS1, that will use a stockish spring like a 918.

- If you want to be a lazy **** and not do your own research to find the cam that best suits your application you can just pick up a tr224 114 cam which is the quintessential all around great daily driver cam or step up to the FMS FM13
not to mention there' over a dozen of the more popular grinds used i already listed there.

lazy fuc* huh? I bust my *** on a daily basis for 13+ hours in 122 degree heat here in kuwait, and get to use the computer for 30 mins max a day, if at all, And started reading the first few paragraphs and saw "this is how a cam works" so I skipped it. Dismissing it for some crap I dont need to read.

I see what you mean, but JRP is right. If you have been building motors for all those years...you wouldn't need to ask. You would know already. Plus it would take you all of 5 minutes to find out the cam that suites your needs. There are probably 5,000 which cam is best for me, or best cam threads.
