picking out cam and headers for my combo
OK, I'm trying to pick out a cam and longtubes that go well together. I want a lot of n/a power, but am not going to get heads yet. I am looking at a cam similar to this one TSP Custom-Grind 231/231 Camshaft:231/231, .598"/.598", 112 LSA.
I am trying to chose between coated pacesetter longtubes and QTP longtube headers. The QTP's are 1&7/8 inches and have the "longest tubes on the market. I'm wondering if these headers are too much for a car w/out aftermarket heads. They say:
We recommend dyno testing to arrive at the final camshaft combination when using this style of collector. If you need that last little edge and are willing to do the testing required to realize the potential gains, merge collectors are one of the most economical ways to gain significant amounts of torque and horsepower in the entire engine combination.
Let me know what you guys think. Thanks - David
