I would not run LS6 springs w the B1 if it was my motor. Taking too much chance. I've heard of LS6 springs breaking with guys Autocrossing their stock Z06's. Get a set of C918's and you'll be sitting happy.
Good comments above, the B1 will make more low end power. Will also lope a bunch more.

Contrary to some of the info here I would not put stock LS6 springs against this cam. Though the lift and duration are similar the lobes on the Lunati/comp B1 grinds will be more aggressive...Call MTI and ask them, but I would go with 918s or duals.

Isn't the B1 the same as the Lunati Link:

I think it's part # 55004LUN

I'm torn know too, my car made great power with the LS6 cam-414 through manifolds and 395 torque. Those are pretty stout-but I would like more without sacrificing emissions or driveabilty. I have switched to shorty headers but haven't dynoed just yet. I'm think of going to longtubes next but still run the factory Z06 cats. I was going to switch to the CheaTR cam but then you guys talk about how the B1 kills the LS6 from idle to 4500! I'm sure the B1 should pass emissions no problem through the Z06 cats. Does anyone have a graph of the LS6 versus the B1?

iwas in teh same predicament.

i wanted the ls6 cam for the longest time.. and then i found out there are other cams out there that will net the same driveability and gas mileage.. but make waaaay more power. thats why i went with the tsp 220 cam. i really like the sound of the b1 cam and it is a proven cam, but it sounds like a big cam do to its slow ramp rates.

I was looking at that cam as well (TSP 220), how does it sound? What kind of power did you make. I still think the CheaTR cam may be the one to use because of the added duration. I believe this would help since I'm still going to run the factory cats. I think Patrick G my be swapping to a set of full lengths on his AFR/CheaTR combo-he's at 395 through the manifolds so if he gains 25 horse-that's pretty stout for such a small cam with stock like driveability.
