lifter death AGAIN
I'd also pull the associated valvespring and a few others to have them pressure tested...potentially that spring is out of spec.
Is this a stock lifter; I'm running a Comp racing lifter with a mild cam and no problems...
. The first lifter died with stock cam and 46k on the clock.. when i swapped to the fms f4 cam i upgraded to hardened rods, comp 918's and titanium retainers. I don't know what to do the car is apart. it took like 3 months to destroy this last lifter... if i put another one in for ha ha's just to ride out the rest of the season then maybe in teh winter i take the engine out. the lobe on the cam is Fawked. so i need another cam.. im looking at the fms f14 and while the heads are off i was thinking of doing some grinding. any suggestions ? or should i just put it in the garage and stick it out? mabye get aftermarket rockers?? thanks guys !!
