for that kind of lift.....Comp 918s are gonna be perfect. (solid for up to .600 lift)

Now, you said one of your springs "snapped" ? May I ask what kind of spring was it ?
Are you sure your valve didn't drop and bend ?
Maybe for extra peace of mind you wanna consider, Patriot, Crane, or PRC duals....

The car already had the cam springs in when i got it. I usually dont buy stuff like that b/c i would rather do it myself so it is right but it was a deal i could not pass up. It had k motion springs in it with titanium locks and retainers and chrome moly push rods from comp cams.

As far as rockers, tighten them down to 22 BUT use some locktide. They won't lossen up this way

If you have stock rockers, forget the turn bit and just trq thenm to 22ftlbs. They are non adjustable so you can't adjust lifter preload with them . The only thing you do if over tighten them is bust a bolt, too little and you'll have a walking rocker.

Usually a loud valvetrain is an indication of too little peload which is determined by the length of your pushrods. Check your lifter preload and get the right p-rod, that should quiet things down a bit. (IMO 7.425 p-rod from COMP CAM will do it)

Yeah it has got the right pushrods and all in it. It was quite and then i had to take one rocker off and when i put it back in, its seems to be loud from that one rocker out of adjustment.

TORQUE IT TO 22FT/LBS!!!!!!!!!!!

How many times do people have to tell you this before you realize that more is not better?

If it was not making noise before, make sure the pushrod is in correctly(can't see how it wouldn't be), the rocker arm is aligned correctly, and that it is torqued down to 22ft/lbs.

If its still making a ton of noise, then you might want to look into a bent valve. When you snapped the spring it could have lightly kissed the piston and bent the valve. That would definitely cause some noise in there.

Please.......22ft/lbs. You don't set lash on a stock motor either.

alright i get it lol. I did 22. I was just saying when i did 24 which the gm tech told me to do, it did not work too well. I couldn't really see the valve being bent any since the car was idleing when it happened and then was shut off the first second it made any noise. It sounds alot better now though after letting it run some. Maybe it needed to seat the lifter or something..idk. thanks for the help guys.
