36 lb Injectors big enough??

36 lb Injectors big enough?? I have a simple goal: I just want to be able to pull the front end off the ground.
Will 36lb injectors support 430 rwhp? Am I cutting it too close?

They are way more than enough...especially if you are talking about the GM 36 lb. injectors. From what I understand, they're rated at 3 bar (44.1 psi). When you use a 4 bar pump like we have, it's more like 48 lbs per hour. Even if they're actually 36 lb injectors rated at 4 bar, you have more than enough injector for 430 rwhp.

im right in that power range and my 36's are at about 80-82% duty cylce , plenty left in them so should be more than enough

I'm planning to. I have a Predator, but I'm not usre if it'll be enough. I have to play with the on-line-while-driving mode. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to make big changes to the Predator tune I loaded when I first bought it. I'll also want a couple of hours on the dyno at various points in the tune to measure the success, but I'm hoping that I'll get a feel for the sweet spot, too...
The shop I got to locally works on high-end imports, but I don't have a lot of confidence in them when it comes to knowing the LS1, so I started taking it to Central Fbody in Baltimore for engine work. But that's too far for anything but the stuff I can't handle because of lack of tools and lift.
Will I need a new in-tank fuel pump to support the 36 lb injectors?

If you can find someone with EFILive/Flashscan I can email you an ASA tune (2000)with the correct injector tables. I ran my stock offset table with the GTPs initially. When I switched to the ASA Offset table my AFRs were more stable/truer at part throttle.
I'm at 445 rwhp and I've not had a problem with leaning at WOT. I guess a new pump couldn't hurt. Let me know if you want the tune/tables.

The biggest mistake that a lot of poeple do is buy too big an injector, because during tuning they found out that their cycle was high at max duty.
What they usually forget to check or do is that if an injector is rated 28.8 at 58 psi; is their pressure actually 58 psi at the rail?
Stock 01/02 28.8 will handle ~ 450 rwhp on maintained 58 psi pressure and 30 lbs SVO (actually 34.54 at 58 psi) will handle 550 rwhp.
So before you gop crazy on injectors, get an adjustable FPR at the rail and adjust it to maintain good psi at wot. You'll be ammazed how much the pressure drops with our shity regulators at the back.
