I bought a set of main studs from LS1speed.com and when i opened it i noticed something funny. There are 30 washers, 20 black nuts, 10 silver nuts, 10 long studs w/ long threads, 10 short studs w/short threads. Shouldnt there be 10 more studs to go with the other 10 nuts and washers?
what am i missing.
Can anyone tell me if im right?
APR part # 234-5608

Did you have to drill out and tap the holes?
I now feel bad for not groing ARP with the mains. At the time, when I sent it off to the machine shop, I only thought I was going to build up a stock LS1, then I decided to go the stroker route while it was there.
I ended up staying with the stock hardware as they line bored it and honded with with those torqued and head that I could change the geometry if I used those afterwards.
Since then just about everything has been ARP (even the camshaft bolts and cam cover botls lol). just wondering if its to late to do myself. the engine is still on the stand.
