GT2-3 with LS6 springs question
I've spoken to several techs at LPE, and they ALL say the same thing. LS6 springs.. Now, keep in mind the 01 MY springs are NOT the same as the 02 and above springs..
That said, they also re-use the stock push rods all day long, which I know is "wrong". The base circle of that cam is not close to the stock LS1 cam. Oh well.

oh and by the way if you use the gt2-3 then use 7.425 pushrods.stock length are to short, lpe says you can use them and a lot of people do but 7.425's are much closer to maintaining stock preload.I measured the lobe radius at a machine shop and they are .735".the stock lobe radius is .776".that means you need a pushrod that is .041" longer then stock.the stock pushrod is about 7.395" on average.(i measured 6 stock pushrods and this was average.)7.395+ the .041" is 7.436".The closest you can get is comp 7.425" which will still be about .010" shorter then stock but close enough.Stock 7.4" will be about .036-.040 to short which is to much in my opinion.(this formula can only be used on a stock engine with no milling).

Stock pushrods too
Why reinvent the wheel. Its proven and it works. They wouldn't warranty the stuff if it didn't work.
I talked to LPE about this as well and even mentioned everyones concerns. They told me flat out that I will have NO problems running stock pushrods and ls6 springs with this cam.
If I have an engine failure due to either of those components you can bet I will be sending them my repair bill, but I am 100% certain that I won't have any problems.

The stockers WILL flex and probably bend. That I''m 101% sure.

I actually did chicken out on this cam. I am going with the Vinci 210/218 .551 116 cam. I am sure the GT2-3 would be fine, but being ultra conservative, I would rather the .551 lift as opposed to the .580 lift on LS6 springs.
