Help Me With A Cam
I was just wondering what would be a loppy and loud cam to get. I have a 98 Z28M6. I have mac headers and a orp. I want a cam that is nice and mean. I am not worried about smog right now. I was thinking maybe a 220/220 112LSA. could someone please let me know. I want it to be pretty good for daily driven cars. I dont drive alot during the week but the weekend i drive it more. all i use it for on the weekdays are school and work and there all within 5 miles. but i cruise on the weekends....track and what not. thanks for your help.

Re: Help Me With A Cam
Well I dont think a 220/220 will give you the idle/lump your looking for.I would recommend TR 230/224 as it makes heelll o power and idles rough. There are a lot of other cams out there but just to help you out a little if you want rougher idle then go with a split pattern cam not a single pattern.

If youre not worried about smog, then you can actually go quite a bit bigger if you really want a mean sound and the most RWHP. If you are a conservative though, that is one of many good cams for you. If you have an automatic, you will definitely need programming...even if you have an M6, you would greatly benefit from tuning.

Re: Help Me With A Cam
Is there any sites that sell the cam packages as cheap as thunder racing. I just want a mean sounding cam, and be a decent daily driver. And i do plan on getting it tuned. Can some one define all the cam specs for me. ok 220/220-is that the duration. and the middle numbers i have no clue what they mean. and 112LSA is that the lift. What nunbers would tell me that it is a big cam. thanks for all your help.
