so my A/C compressor kicked the bucket on friday and im scrambling to find another one.

a friend of mine is parting out a 97 v6 camaro and has the A/C stuff from it.
question is will the A/C compressor from a 97 v6 camaro fit my 98 Z28?

if not im back the drawing board, unless someone knows where i can get one for cheap

nope. They are different. I think I have an extra one, but I believe the electrical connector is cracked or broke off. you may be able to swap over yours.

If it helps, I have one from my 2000 WS6 that i'll let go for about $140...
