Pick My Cam For Me!
Reason why i titled the thread pick my cam is, because this will be my first cam'ed car and to tell you the truth i dont know my cams at all. Here is what i currently have 2000 Corvette C5 with Slp Loudmouth Catback, FLP L/T Headers with off road x pipe, Vararamm Vr-1b intake, hypertech 160 degree thermostat, and a vortex rammer air bridge. I want to obtain 450+ whp with heads and a cam. A large cam is fine, no emmisions that i have to worry about where i live, i prefer something with a 112 lsa. Keep in mind the car is daily driven so it has to be streetable, but nothign like a tr224 (to small) for my taste. The car will be getting a 4.10 rear diff shortly after the cam to help with low end tq because i expect the car to lose that with a large cam.
Basically i want to produce 450whp with heads coming sometime later in the next few months after the cam and have a nice and capable 11.5 or lower 1/4 time slip.
Bigger the better just keep it streetable guys.
Thanks
If you are willing to do a FAST 90/90 setup, it will make your cam selection easier. G5X3 is basically a shoe-in, F13 will get you there with the FAST, and TSP M3 will do it also...
WOT tuning will be easy compared to the idle and part throttle tuning, all do’ able but will require more time...
good luck,
