Default Heads/Cam for me??

I am looking for a good h/c package combo that goes well together and I can maximize power out of. I have done searches, but I want to hear from experience of putting the heads and cam together. I want a cam around a 236/236 duration size. It will be my daily driver. My car is a 99 TA M6. It will have 3.73 gears and I want something reliable, but will still whoop ***. I know the F13 is an awesome daily driver cam, but I want something a little stronger than that, but I want a cam that will be strong all throughout too. Should I do just cam or heads/cam?

Thanks,
Justin

IMO A good set of heads with an f13 on a 114+4 for D&D use should make a ton of power with all supporting bolt-ons.

I guess it depends on your ultimate goal. If this is a true daily driver, I'd go smaller on the cam and get the heads, that will get you as much power as a huge cam with no heads and drive much better. It will also be easier on the springs and more reliable. Of course you can save money and just go huge on the cam too, but daily driving might get old if you sit in alot of traffic and if you ever sell/trade the car, you will have limited options.
Do you have emission concern? That is a factor too...

More and more people are putting in the x3 into there daily drivers and i never heard someone say thats to much cam.So id say that would be a good choise and top it off with some afr 205 heads and it will be a strong runner.

It is my "True" daily driver. I ride my motorcycle a good bit now, but that won't fly when winter comes. I always have a truck as a back up though. IN case something was to happen to my car. I just don't want to be dissapointed with the car, and wish I had gotten something better. But on the other hand I don't want my car to be guzzlin gas and unreliable either.

We have many had X2s and X3s in daily driven cars with no problems. We have customers with both cam only and fully built h/c/i cars that daily drive the cars on the highway and in town traffic. Our cam packages can be built to order just for you and your needs so that you are set up with exactly what you want for your needs.

Please feel free to call the shop, or email Bobby or myself and we will do what it takes to get a package together for you.
