I just spoke to one of the techs at TR and im actually about to order the t-rex cam from him,.. the pistons do not need to be flycut if your running stock valvetrain with stock heads unmilled, however in my case im about to run the cam with a set of tea 5.3 60cc heads so the pistons will need to be flycut because of the larger 2.020 and 1.57" valves and bceause the deck hieght has changed. One thing you will want to look into is getting the 921 valve springs and shimming them between 60,000ths and 80,000ths coil bind to provide your valve train with 100% use of your springs. Also to rely on your springs not giving out on you every 10-15k on your motor. Also another good idea is before putting the cam in get a set of arp pro-series connecting rod bolts as reassurance that your stock ones will not give out on you bceause this cam needs to be reved to 7krpm to get its full potential out of it. From what i heard its a great cam and makes insane power with good tunning stock heads the car should spike 451 hp on stock heads,... GOOD LUCK

I have a friend running the TRex, and it's an amazing sounding cam.
