stock pistons
The stock pistons don't have any valve reliefs or anything do they? If not, which I highly doubt they do, I am having problems.
At some point in the 58,000 miles on my engine, my intake valves made contact w/ my pistons. It almost looks like the pistons where flycut! Machine shop said the pistons would still be ok to use, but most likely all the intake valves are bent. The only point in time I can think of a situation where something like this could have occured was about 2 years ago when I had a dreaded 2-1 shift. If that is the case, I have done a cam swap since then, and when compressing the cylinders w/ air to swap valvesprings, nothing leaked?
The engine seemed to run good before I took it apart? Depending on the severeness of the bent valves, wouldn't I be losing ALOT of compression? Also, would the pistons still be ok? I don't see why not. Could it maybe cause a hot spot on the piston or something? Sorry for the long thread. Thanks for the advice!

I am in the middle of a rebuiild because of a mechanical overrev with the same dreaded 2-1 miss shift. I have a few divots in the pistons from this time as well as for the last time. Everything should be ok with the pistons but you should strip the heads and inspect the valves.
