OK, so I broke a head bolt off in my block. Now I have exhausted all means of trying to get the bolt out, without any luck, But my question is: What if I tap the bolt hole and find a shorter, wider bolt to hold the head down??? Do you think this will work?? I mean worse case I **** a head gasket out, but I already have to buy a new block so...its worth a try. Gimme your opinions on this.....I really need help over here. I was supposed to drive to NC today, but had to delay my trip. I am getting stationed there......

 

I know of one person that has done this with a shorter custom stud and it worked fine.

 

REALLY....did he start tapping it from the top of the block?????
