Question Good Install Recomendation!

I live in Charles County Maryland and own a 2001 camaro Z28 and have a set of heads, cam, and intake manifold ready to be installed. I would be happy to do it myself but I wanted to make sure it is done right. I was wondering if anyone would know of a good and trustworthy shop that would do good work. I would not mind driving a few hours (no more that 3) to recieve good work.

I've been talking with someone right in your area - Waldorf - about a H/C on my C5. I've heard good things on the corvette forum. You may want to give hime a call. Good Luck. Number and name below:

If you have all the right parts, this is not rocket science. I did it in my driveway with no issues. There are detailed instructions on the web that take you through the process step-by-step. You need basic hand tools tools, a jack, jack stands, gear puller, gear installer, tork wrench.

If this is not your bag, find a local shop that has done Gen 3 work.

I talked to Phil about tuning a while back, seems pretty knowledgeable, but I can't vouch for him. Only advice I can offer is to do it yourself, even if it means using a friend's garage and tools. You'll learn a hell of a lot in the process and realize that it really isn't as complicated as it sounds. If you're stuck on taking it somewhere, all I can recommend is anyone but FBC in Baltimore. For tuning after the install, Jeff (GrannySShifting) is real good.
