Anyone pull a motor topside with the heads on it?
You should be alright as long as you use a bracket mounting hole and not one of the water pump mounts.
I had to remove the tranny halfway thou.
the manifold rubbed very hard against the top rear part of where the wipers seat, I removed the radiators, the windshield wipers and all plastic thing bellow the wipers (broke the windshield
) CAREFUL with some grounds in the rear of the drivers head (of the car BTW!
and a bunch of connectors hiden when you tilt the engine (cam sens among others).

Just pull he tranny, exhaust manifolds, intake, crank pulley, all accesories and make sure you get all the wiring off of it. Then it just slides right out.

I can got the motor and tranny on the floor in about 30 min last time i pulled mine out the bottom. About an hour to swap everything over to the new long block, then another hour to put it back in the car. about a 3 hour job of swapping motors.
