hp gains with a 228 cam
Thats the cam I'm runnin. I have heads too and it put down 419hp and 398tq. Great cam. Pulls hard all the way through and drives around like stock. Easy to tune also. Great numbers froom this little cam compared to the bigger one's now a days.

I lost 5mpg with the TSP 228 on a 112 on the highway, 1mpg city, but gained 43 rwhp.
I made 320 though cut-outs on a Mustang Dyno with a 228/228 .588/.588 112. Only mods on the car are, LPE CAI, cam, springs, pushrods, and cutouts....Thats with the stock pulley, stock manifolds, stock cats...stock everything but whats listed...
Oh and thats though the 2-piece driveshaft and IRS of GTO.....

Driveablity will have alot to do with the tune. You might have a problem with the car wanting to buck at a stop or low rpms with the stock converter. I have a 02 s10 with a ls1. Right know it has a gm asa cam. But I am about to pull out the old cam and go with a F13. And it is a daily driver.
We gained 75 flywheel horsepower by installing the TSP 228R Camshaft. I have several dyno sheets with this camshaft, but here's a quick one for ya

My friend with a 01 m6 ss had only a lid, lTs, ported TB, ORY and borla along with the 228r cam (stock heads/intake) put down 386 with a great amount of power under the curve. Hes been taking down bolt-on z06s left and right because of how fat that curve is!
