Funny you mention them, I was just wondering if they could do a LS6 intake. I've used Extrude many times in the past and have been very happy with their work. I don't think I've ever seen anyone in the LSx world use them. Is there any reason a LS6 intake couldn't be done, or is there not enough material?

From what I've heard, Extrude Honing applies extreme pressure with its abrasive medium to blend and smooth the insides of an intake. The pressure is supposed to be far too great for a multipiece composite intake like the FAST and is probably too much for even the LS6 intake.

Truth be told, the plenum volume of the FAST 90mm intake is generous enough, it's the limited cross sectional area of the runners that knocks down the airflow of the LSX heads.

Thanks Patrick... that would explain why I haven't seen it done.

Why not gain the benifits of the Extruding process that balances out individual port flow to within 5cfm and increases plenum volume, that the process alone is capable of ??? Not to forget to mention the other advantages of the finished product, that would help a dry manifold.......???
I've been thinking about this too.

There is a manifold out there that would give us all the power we are looking for...but again will not fit good under a f-body or vette hood. And it cost so money!!! The Aussie Harrop manifold....4K plus.....but it looks awesome and sounds awesome.....And put the power down.....

is that the one with the eight throttlebodies, one per each intake runner?

The Harrop manifold is pretty cool, but I am tossing around an idea that is already in use.....

The Kinsler LSx used on the C5/6R.

We need a back to back test of a fast 90 intake and gm single plane with 90mm tb on top to see if there is a diffrence
