Default 224/228 144lSA??

How streetable would this cam be? I want a 224 but I would like the added exhaust duration due to the nitrous. I just want a mild cam that does not have rough idle and can possibly hit 400RWHP with all bolt ons and heads. Anyone have a cam with these specs or close to it? How does it run?

I have a 224/224 .581/.581 lsa114 and i made 375rwhp with an auto with a 3000stall, bolt ons, and etc. the cam is very streetable and i only got it for two resons i got a great deal on it and it wa smy first cam. i personaly IMO would go bigger like in the 230's range or so something like the FM13 or TR230 just i have seen better numbers with them and still just as streetable. just my thoughts

NOTE: my cam ran just liek a stock cam basically. hardley no lope very streetable and made good power. now in my 383 its even more tame lol( yes i need a bigger cam but teher is a story behind why i still have this one and it is $ the lack of it lol)

yeah im just looking for a mild cam to have, eventually I will get heads to help out, hoping to hit about 400 NA, then I have the 150-200 shot for plenty of added power. Just want a very streetable cam that will yield some decent gains.

thats a very streetable cam, but nowadays, guys are running much bigger cams, which if tuned properly, are just as street friendly. Hope this helps!

yeah I know bigger cams can be streetable, but I would like to keep most of my low end as well. The bigger cams tend to decrease low end power right?

I am running the Comp Cam XE-R 224/228 .581/.588 114LSA and it lopes enough that people notice it. I do have my idle turned up to around 850-900rpm. I bought the cam used from a buddy of mine who went with a Magic Stick. He wished he would have kept my cam. It pulls really hard on the top end and drives great on the street. Very nitrous friendly also.

there are litterally over 100 post with info on the 224 cams. The results show dyno numbers in both A4 and M6 cars, track times, drivability, and how the cam acts when heads are added to the picture.

comp cam 224/224 581/581 114lsa patriot stage II 382 Hp runs a little rougher than stock, but not much. I notice, but people new to the car don't. I can't tell you how much it improved power over stock, because I did everything at once.

Its a good daily driver cam. Once the car goes into closed loop(warms up), You can hardly hear it.

The way a cam sounds is also affected by what exhaust you're running, with or without cats, idle speed, tune etc...

I have the same cam pretty much, but on a 113, made 403 thru a steel driveshaft, and a 12 bolt, M6 car. Streetable... all day long. not a single issue.
