well today i put new plug wires, new thortal body sensor, cleaned the mass air and replaced the injector on number 1 with anouther and swapt number 3 coil pack with number 1 to see if it change. but a clean plug back in it and drove around a little bit and pulled plug again and it was black as hell once again.

I NEED HELP PLEASE any ideas what to do next.

here is what i have done so far

1.changed plugs
2. did away with my mass air translator
3.new plug wires
4.swaped injector on number 1cyl
5. swaped number 1 and 3 coil packs.
6. new TBS sensor
7.cleaned maf sensor

all this and still got the miss here and there and number one plug still turing black.

here is a pic of the plugs

frist plug is one that i pulled out when prob started 2nd plug is one with 6 miles on it 3rd plug is on after coil swap and injector swap.

What valve springs are you running with that cam? I would check them for that cylinder and/or do a compression test on it.

A broken valve spring or valve problem can cause low compression, but generally low compression caused by a valve problem does not improve by adding oil to the cylinder. Low compression problems that improve with adding oil are usually a problem with a piston rings, piston, or ring land. I would still check the valve springs as that only involves pulling the valve cover and inspecting them especially since the problem seemed to occur suddenly. Could possibly be a rocker arm or push rod problem too.

i got a brand new set of springs here. so i guess next step is going to be to pull old ones off number one and put new ones in to see what happens and recheck compresion. will post up them results

whould a broken spring make the valvetrain noiseer ? cause it sounds same as before? just wonfering if a broken spring chould still be quit?

Just pull the rockers off and give the springs a good visual inspection first. Lay a straight edge across all the valve tips and make sure they are all at the same height with the rockers off.

Looks like you are going to be pulling your heads and sending them back to PP. I would contact Gunnar first thing tomorrow.

How old are these heads? How many miles on the springs? I thought PP had started using Manley or Ferrea valves recently.
