ok here iswhat happend whent ot town wensday and the car ran fine parked at best buy for a couple hours where we all hang out wensday nights. left and the car didnt feel right got out of town on the hwy put it in 6th gear and the hole car whould shake under accelartetion. got home and checked enigen light with auto tap and my sort term Ltrems was like -39. so i unpluged my mass air translator and hooked it up regular and they whent to -1 and 2 back and forth idealing so i took car around blick and it still whould have a miss or what not but it wasnt all time it happen here and there. so i thought a fouled plugs since it ran so rich on the -39 sort term ltrems. next day i pulled plugs and changed them all. on cyl 1 it was black as hell. so i was like that my prob got done whent around block again about 5 6miles and it acted same way missing here and there down low in rpms and alittle in the high rpms rang but not all time. came home pulled plug out number 1cyl and it was black as hell again with only 6 miles on it.

well today i put new plug wires, new thortal body sensor, cleaned the mass air and replaced the injector on number 1 with anouther and swapt number 3 coil pack with number 1 to see if it change. but a clean plug back in it and drove around a little bit and pulled plug again and it was black as hell once again.

I NEED HELP PLEASE any ideas what to do next.

1.changed plugs
2. did away with my mass air translator
3.new plug wires
4.swaped injector on number 1cyl
5. swaped number 1 and 3 coil packs.
6. new TBS sensor
7.cleaned maf sensor

all this and still got the miss here and there and number one plug still turing black.

What valve springs are you running with that cam? I would check them for that cylinder and/or do a compression test on it.

A broken valve spring or valve problem can cause low compression, but generally low compression caused by a valve problem does not improve by adding oil to the cylinder. Low compression problems that improve with adding oil are usually a problem with a piston rings, piston, or ring land. I would still check the valve springs as that only involves pulling the valve cover and inspecting them especially since the problem seemed to occur suddenly. Could possibly be a rocker arm or push rod problem too.

i got a brand new set of springs here. so i guess next step is going to be to pull old ones off number one and put new ones in to see what happens and recheck compresion. will post up them results

whould a broken spring make the valvetrain noiseer ? cause it sounds same as before? just wonfering if a broken spring chould still be quit?

Just pull the rockers off and give the springs a good visual inspection first. Lay a straight edge across all the valve tips and make sure they are all at the same height with the rockers off.

Looks like you are going to be pulling your heads and sending them back to PP. I would contact Gunnar first thing tomorrow.

How old are these heads? How many miles on the springs? I thought PP had started using Manley or Ferrea valves recently.
