bought a cam today got some ?'s Okay so I picked the cam up today, its an 04 ls6 cam, i bought the cam only.
I guess now I am gonna get some ls6 valve springs, and an ls6 oil pump, and some hardened pushrods. My question is about the timing chain, and oil pump. Im pretty sure the general consensus is that I definitely need the oil pump (car is a 98 with 77k miles, M6)
On the timing chain, I want to spend as little money as possible, but if I have to get a whole set I will cuz its not THAT expensive. I heard u can get an ls2 timing chain only for like 20 bucks, but its not the whole timing set. Whats the difference? I would obviously rather spend 20 than 90.
Also whats the best/cheapest place to get the valve springs pushrods and oil pump? thx - Darren
