I was just getting to upgrade my heads on my 408 from ported and polished 241 castings to AFR 225 with 72cc combustion chambers and that would lower my compression to about 10.6 to 1 compared to 11 to 1 is it really worth shaving the heads down to bring the compression back up. What compression are you 408 guys running.

 

I wouldn't run anyless then 11:1.
11.5 or better is what I would suggest and run myself.
