Default which package to get with cam

OK i am thinking about ordering a f13 cam in the next few months here. My question is futural motor sports has 2 upgrade packages with dual valvesprings.
1. Futral Motorsports Cam Package Upgrade - Add Manley Dual Drop In Springs, Manley Titanium Retainers, Manley Seats, Intake/Exhaust Valve Stem Seals, FMS Hardened Pushrods to FMS Cam Selection (This is an upgrade only when purchasing a camshaft)
2. Futral Motorsports Cam Package Upgrade-Add Precision Race Components Dual Valve Spring Kit (Includes dual springs rated to .650 lift, titanium retainers, seats, intake & exhaust seals), FMS 7.400" Chromemoly Pushrods to FMS Cam Selection

The first one is $50 more than the 2nd, think if i was to just get the 2nd it would do fine for the f13 cam on a 112 lsa?

thanks,
Brandon

Option 2 is good. Don't even think about sticking a cam in there without upgrading springs and pushrods. AND to be on the safe side, get new lifters too.

Im def. gonna get the dual valve springs and new retainers, im also gonna get a new timing chain and ported ls6 oil pump. You think I should go ahead and get new lifters too? My car has 78k miles on it now. And if i did get lifters would the comp cams OE replacement lifters be good enough? Or would I be better off getting the comp cams R lifters?

You don't have to get new lifters it's just added insurance. You definately want the springs, retainers, and pushrods. Good that you're doing the timing chain and ported pump too. I would go with the PRC's...lots of people on here have good results with them.

Timing chain, new oil pump, and the PRC is great. I'm pretty sure the Manley kit needs some shimming and what not. The PRC kit is a bit less expensive too. Oh, gasket kit will also help. I'll just add my 2 cents here. You may want to think about ditching the shorty's for LT's and Y. A new clutch to hold that power, 9 inch rear, tune, new rubber, heads, tnt kit, different heads,402 block, big hair dryer Never ends but it's damn fun isn't it?

Well i know i need LTs, but i really want the sound of the cam first. I already have a spec stage 3, so that will hold all the power. And I was going to get the FMS kit that has the bolts and gaskets.

Have you done any research on the f14? If not you may want to check it out. You can get LT's cheap right now, less than the cam kit.
