Default Anyone running the Tr 230/236 cam?

Like the title says ... if so, what kind of power are you making and what is your exhaust setup like? I've got the tr230/224 w/ 3" duals dumped at the axle and am starting to look at going back to a catted Y/Catback setup, so i'm trying to figure out what cam to go with along w/ the change in exhaust.

I noticed in the graph that its peaking at about 6,300 and then seems to fall flat on its face. Any insight as to why? were your shiftpoints set right after it peaked or what. I've got the tr230/224 in my car now and it keeps on pulling all the way to 6,800rpm where my redline is set.

Definitely, I wanna see what this cam has. I'm glad to see it pulls all the way to 6800. It wouldn't make sense for the cams lil step bro to be pulling longer than him

Oh ya what springs are you guys running w/ this cam? .918's or Duals?

your car pulled higher but it doesnt have as much HP... plus yours is a 6 speed with a factory rear...

if mine was a 6 speed with stock rear id be looking at about 420 rwhp...

remember i have a very large stall, 12 bolt, and A4...

what times you guys run?

HP isnt everything

actually right now i should be sitting at a little over 400. i did the pulley mod after the cam but didn't get it dynod again. i know hp isnt everything...thats evident with the way i ran the 03 cobra the way i did last weekend..he had 485/527 to the wheels.(shoulda kicked my ***)
anyway, i just thought a larger cam might be nice with the heads im getting. i could be wrong. i'd like something with a little more lope to it-or do you think my cam will lope more once the heads are on?
so far i've only run a 12.8 but that was at 114mph and i missed 3rd gear, hit the rev limiter, etc. 12 bolt is the next mod on the list

what do you have the idle set to?

as long as you have a higher compression than the factory heads it will sound more "poppier" and crisp.

you raced a cobra and beat him?

there is this one black cobra I've been wanting to get a hold of soooo bad around here but he always just pulls up in traffic and then squirms through it and expects me to follow him like a dumbass.... .... wish he'd just hang back and let the traffic go... im not risking my investment to pimp slap a moron

the idle is set at 1,000. when they retune the car with the new heads, would it be a good idea to see if they could lower the idle at all?

mines at 1000 now also but only because the drivability, plus mine is a A4 (always pulling on the T/C) ...

set it to 875 right now and it will lope nicely, new heads will only make it better

i'd try to get the compression to atlest 11:1

You could use shimmed 918's with no issues. But any .620 lift duals will be good too.

yes..compression is going to be bumped to 11:1. idle is going to be reset with the tuning once the heads are on. we'll see how it runs and sounds then
