Default Other ways to hold flywheel!?

I need to take off my crank bolt again to tighten up my cam bolts and I really dont feel comfortable using a thick screwdriver again. I felt like I was going to brake something last time.

I was just informed that another way to hold the motor was to place nylon rope inside the spark plug hole and the rope stops the piston from moving up and down (since it never reaches TDC it will not move back down). Anyone ever heard of this way? Safe?

Anyone have any other ways to hold the motor when removing the crank bolt?

Impact gun? I've also had decent luck w/ a belt around the pulley and a pair of vise grips to keep it from turning.

I do not plan on using an impact and im not sure how if the belt idea is a good one.
