After the trans is fully warmed, I park on a level surface and row through each gear starting with 1. All the way up to park, I let the shifter sit for a second or two at each gear. Then I pull the dipstick, wipe it off, reinsert it and check. If the trans is hot, I should be in the hot cross section. At first, I added 3/4 of a quart to the trans. it appeared full, but that was just fluid sitting in the dipstick tube. The next day I went back to check, and there wasn't any fluid filling those little holes on the dipstick!
I'm pretty sure nothing is broken, cause the fluid is clean as a whistle. I'm not throwing any trans codes, and it will shift normally at part throttle (well, not exactly normal, but the shifts are firm and there doesn't seem to be any slipping)

WTF!? I went to adjust the idle using the sticky in the PCM section. After warming the car up and taking it around for another spin, I checked the fluid again. The dipstick shows the fluid about 1.5" PAST the second hole in the hot section! What the hell is going on?
Man, I'm really losing sleep over this. I haven't been able to contact Jason this weekend, and I'm gonna have to wait until Monday. Does anybody have any suggestions? Something I can try?
Tomorrow I'm gonna drain about 2 quarts of trans fluid.
When I initially drove the car (trans fluid low) it shifted absolutely perfectly at part throttle. The only issue I was having was hitting the rev limiter and feeling some slipping at WOT. What's going on? Feels like tranny failure. :bang

Sounds like the trans could be crapping out.. Mine does the same thing, but only when I spray it. It will not shift into 3rd gear whatsoever unless you let off the gas and wait on it for a sec. It could also be a tuning issue though. Alot of people with autos have had the same problems as you are having and it turned out to be a simple tweak in the tune.. Jason will help you figure it out I'm sure..

Yeah, it does sound bad ***! If only I could enjoy it. I don't really have any way to get a decent sounding video. All the videos I've been able to record with Digital Camera sound like marbels in a tin can.
