and are there any year differences to watch out for?

Try gmpartsdirect.com I dont know the part #'s but you can look at the bottom of there page & you can search their catalog by car/year. They are really cheap to.

ya i think they are 6 bucks a pop, a reason why im thinking of getting a asa cam

You want a 2002 or new cam. I think you would prefer the C6 Z06 cam though. Don't get the 2001 Z06 cam.

You can usually find them cheap on the used parts section here or ebay. A cam isn't a wear item so one with 20,000 miles is just as good as one with 0 miles.

i dont think you can use a ls7 camshaft because the cam sensor is in a different place than on the gen 3 motors, ya that would be a nice cam since its a 230/231 .591" 116LSA for 200 bucks, but the price of making it work would out weigh the savings of going with a decent cam. again im thinking of the asa cam. that cam with heads should make a nice410-430 on a a4

go to www.SPDC2000.com and look under ls1/ls6 enigine performance and then look under SPDC cam kits. They have a new LS6 cam kit that comes with everything you need for less than 600$.
