You want a 2002 or new cam. I think you would prefer the C6 Z06 cam though.
Don't get the 2001 Z06 cam.
You can usually find them cheap on the used parts section here or ebay. A cam isn't a wear item so one with 20,000 miles is just as good as one with 0 miles.

go to www.SPDC2000.com and look under ls1/ls6 enigine performance and then look under SPDC cam kits. They have a new LS6 cam kit that comes with everything you need for less than 600$.
