Default The wheels are in motion and the new bullet is on the way...

Well after alot of researching and phone calls the parts for the new motor are on their way. I debated and debated about which parts to use to make this build truely a eye opener. I've gotten alot of help from a couple of the vendors on this site that has really made this an easy experience. Here's what we're going to build and I'll probably make a video showing the steps we went through....

Shortblock:
LS6 Block Bored 3.905
Line Honed
ARP studs top, bottom, and rods
Katech Main caps
Clevite moly coated rod and main bearings
Scat 6.125" H Beam rods
Lightened LS1 Crank
Diamond custom one off pistons Coated skirts and domes
Lunati Solid Lifters

Top end:
ET Performance 225cc heads brand new castings
- Thermal Coated Exhaust valves and Moly coated springs
Comp 999 Springs
25x-26x custom solid roller .650-.700 lift
Jesel J2k Rockers
Comp Cams Pushrods
Cometic .045 3.910 gaskets
42# injectors
Fast 90mm Intake ported
NW 90mm TB

Power Adder:
Nitrous Express/ECS custom one off direct port 300 - 400 shot
ECS Standalone fuel system

Tuning:
Our custom SD tune

I am building 2 of these motors, one for my 6 speed and another for an automatic and we're hoping this will show the potiential of a nice street motor.

Looks nice. Are you sure you don't want to upgrade the crank? I know that I have never heard of one breaking myself, but you are going to run a 400 shot, lol.

Phil...you bad man, stop it will ya? Ok, just kidding. Sounds like a nice little power plant, and two of them! What a way to compare Auto to Manuals. Good luck.

"Street" That sounds like the potential for some very nice times. What are your goals for this setup?

1)What kinda CR are you looking at?
2)How much NOS are you going to be hitting it with, and are you going to go progressive, or all-at-once?
3)What kinda ETs and MPH are you looking for in your (M6) car?

Sounds like a stout setup, Shawn

Shawn,
I think the final figures are going to be ~12.5:1, probably 200-350 shot on a progressive shot. Who knows on the ET!

great setup it should be, but not really falling under the category of street motor. you and i could build one, set the valvetrain up adj the valves, tune it etc... but for 90% of the guys here it is not something they could come close to replicating and make it live on street/pumpgas

I think you could see the power your looking for

Sounds good Phil.

We're about the same except we're running a Hyd. Roller with a just bit less duration and a non-lightened stock crank. We're hoping to get a set of 225 AFRs to see what they can do.
