CC 978 Springs
I say about .610 safely, the Comp 978 also stands as the ONLY LSx spring we have never seen break. Keep in mind that more lift doesn't necessarily make more power, contrary to popular belief. We just had a 310 cu in Ford with .500" lift run 9.38 ON MOTOR.

Hmmmm...... now I am starting to get concerned. When I ordered the heads, I told TEA that the cam I am running has 0.598" of lift on the intake side and 0.612" of lift on the exhaust side. I was told that the springs installed on the heads should handle the cam just fine. On the invoice it lists Comp Cam 978 springs. Will I be OK or should I swap them out before I start the motor to break it in?

The difference between .610" and .612" is only .002" and the spring will never know the difference. There is only one spring that is better then the 978 and that is the 921 kit.
