I had piston slap on my '01 TA. I doubt your going to get any fix from a dealer but give it a shot. How bad is it? Are you burning oil? I had both of these problems. Here's the summary:

-dealer #1 tried to re-ring the motor and failed miserably
-dealer #2 tried to fix the motor by getting a new shortblock
-new motor began more oil than ever
-car was totaled soon after

not what i wanna hear...and the knock is really bad...almost through out the rpm range...no burning oil...(knock on wood!)...but i do have insurance that covers all internally lubed parts...and a shop that will do a complete tear down and rebuild for 4500....so we will see....
