Oil smoke please help. Hey guys, I have a TA with 60,000 miles on the clock and have a head and cam package that makes 395 to the wheels. My problem is that I am getting a lot of smoke under wide open throttle and if I free rev the engine from idle. The smoke I am getting is deffinitely oil and it has me worried. I had a STS kit on the car for a couple of months which may have caused problems but the car didn't smoke until I took the turbo off and swapped the heads the last time. The heads I put on were new and from a good shop. What should I do or check at this point and what does everybody think could be the problem? Thanks in advance for the help.
Did you install the rockers?
Make sure the intake bolts have thread sealant on them; on ported heads the intake goes all the way through the head and you need to seal the intake rocker arm bolts so oil doesn't get up there and burn away at WOT.
