i've been running fram's for 6 years in five different cars and have not had a single problem with any of them! If you change the oil in regular intervals you should not end up with that much crap in your oil anyway.

I have been running Frams too for about 3 times longer than that but do have to agree that there are better filters out there. I have never had one bust or come apart internally and have had pretty good luck(which is why I havent switched over to something else yet) but all it takes it one time

There was an oil filter comparison on here a while back that showed the flow and filtration of all the filters on the market...good info..do a search and you find it..fram didn't score very well...

If you really love your LS1 you won't fram it anymore..do a search on oil filters on this forum and you will see that the fram is a.. there are flow and filtration numbers to back up this statement..

If you really want the lowdown on oil and oil filters PM Patman and he can guide you to tons of info on the subject..he is the resident guru on oil and filters..the guy really knows his stuff..

I have 91,000 miles on mine and it runs great and uses no oil..and I run it.. ..it is a hot rod and I treat it like one..but I am very stringent on my maintainance of the car...
