LS1 SWAPPER what length pushrods are you running?. And too add to this I am also running the Comp-R's, adj. rockers and did the same preload (cold lifter 1.2 - 1.5 turn past 0 lash), have been running this for some while up to 7k and nitrous with zero problems. I am running a 7.035 length pushrod, i should have bought a pushrod length checker, I now have a set of 7.200 and a set of 7.400 as backup, buying the checker would have been worth its weight in gold!

I agree, I have Comp-Rs with stock rockers and comp 7.400 PR

Yes, adj rockers will help but youll have to keep re-adjusting and thats a pita for a street car!

Can you say Hi Jacked!

It is interesting to know people are running more preload than Comp recomends though with no issues. I'm still skeptical though...

I think I can tell you why. Because the poeple running more preload have small cams. No short term ill effects.
try this on a 232/240 , .61x ...and tell me how it goes.
These lifters were designed for .600 lifts and above with good amount of duration.

Racer8102 push rod length is very specific to combination, I run milled head with much thinner headgaskets so my push rods are shorter, camshaft will effect this as well as valve lenght, seat positon and depth.
