Default XER 224 cam LS6 heads and Headers only 378 rwhp WTF????

I just recently did a H/C swap. The upgrades includes CompCam XER 224/224 @ 114 LSA 581/581 lift, LS6 Stock Heads, Comp 918 valve springs, Ti retainers, TSP pushrods, Pacesetter Long Tubes, High flow cats and Y pipe. The car only made 378 RWHP, untuned runing 13.5 - 14 A/F ratio. I know I need a tune but the numbers are diappointing. How much more HP can a tune get me, I wanted to break 400 rwhp but I don't know if I can make it. I dynoed 330 rwhp before the H/C swap. Is there any chance of me getting over 400 RWHP?

Yes you will reach 400 RWHP tuned. Also, that A/F ratio needs to get down to 12.9 or so. Do you have @ least a 78mm ported throttle body on that LS6 intake & heads?

Do you have a ported TB, underdrive pulley and a LS6 intake? Are those numbers locked? Don't forget LS6 heads don't like anymore than 22-24 degress of total timing. Get it tuned-don't forget you have an auto. Numbers are not everyhting-I bet that this is going to be a stout combo at the track.

is that mean that I won't get any more HP? or just mean that it is right for untuned?

Was that dyno pull thru the cutout or through the flowmaster (-10 thru 15hp)?
Get a tune. And get back to us.
Also, even with stock ls6 heads (+15hp), your numbers aren't too bad for a mild stalled A4. You may not break 400rwhp but you should run some great times at the track.

The Flowmaster split chamber catback had been proven to be one of the most restrictive catbacks, time and time again. Even the Flowmaster single in/single out mufflers are outperformed by Magnaflow, Borla, etc. It shouldn't make you want to go rip it off- it's a matter of about 10hp, but it's something that has been proven. If the sound quality is to your liking, and you're not concerned about 10hp, don't worry about it.

The dyno numbers are with the cutout opened. And yes I need a tune, but I was told that it would'nt make that much of a difference. Any ideas how much difference can a tune make? Right now my computer is not giving a SES lights at all and idles good until the A/C comes on.

A tune makes a whole lot of difference, no matter what your SES light says. A tune ensures optimal A/F ratio and timing throughout the rev range. A good tune milks every last pony out of your setup. Good for 15-20 rwhp on a setup like yours.
